Lime Plastering - Full Course

This is a four day practical course  which combines our Part 1 and Part 2 Lime Plastering courses.  Students will look at why lime is used in older  properties, the different types of lime and their uses, varying sands  and aggregrates and learn how to create the perfect mix. 

Course Day Timings: 10am to 4pm on all days

• Why use Lime
• Types of Lime
• Aggregates and how to use them
• Preparing a wall for plastering
• Base coat and top coat hands on practical
• How to create different plaster finishes
• Skim coats and finishes
• Repairing lath
• Suitable mixes for lath work
• Insulating plastering - benefits, how to make your own and application techniques

As part of the course fee you will receive a comprehensive course handbook.

Plastering Tool Kit - Optional

We provide all tools for the duration of the course, however if you don't have your own tools at home, to help you get started with your projects we have put together a plastering tool kit which you can pick up when you attend the course. The kit includes:

• Scratcher
• Nail Float
• Trowel
• Hawk
• Straight Edge
• Bucket Trowel

Suitability

This course is suitable for those with little experience as well as  time served plasterers.

Payment is required upfront. We do not offer refunds on purchased courses. Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the course date will be  offered a new course date if possible. Cancellations made after this date will be offered a new date and incur an admin fee of £25. We are no longer offering course date transfers or refunds  due to Covid.
